I first got into fitness back in middle school. I was deeply insecure about my body, and a few friends inspired me to start training. Over years of learning, testing, and building consistency, I built a physique I was proud of. But something still wasn’t right on the inside.
Through high school and college, I battled intense anxiety, digestive issues, and a constant undercurrent of not feeling like enough. And no matter how much muscle I built, none of that went away.
Two things changed everything for me. The first was learning about nutrition and what our food system has become. The foods being marketed as healthy were actually causing the digestive issues I was trying so desperately to fix. The seed oils, the ultra-processed ingredients, the chemicals our grandparents never ate. Once I understood what was in my food, everything shifted.
The second was building a real relationship with God. I realized I’d been chasing a number, a reflection, and a reputation. And God was calling me to something deeper. To steward my body out of gratitude and love rather than fear and insecurity. That reframe changed how I ate, how I trained, and how I felt about myself entirely.
Today, I eat foods I love and feel zero restriction. I train 45 minutes a few times a week. And I’ve built a life I’m genuinely grateful for. That’s what I wanted for myself, and it’s exactly what I want for you.
I started coaching because I can’t imagine how different my younger years could have been if someone had taught me how to actually treat and feel about my body and my health. A lot of fitness coaches out there are fighting their own battle with food, exercise, and self-image. I’m grateful I found my way out of that, and I built Reach so I could bring others with me.
